FREE Scanning Tool to Check Your Website for JavaScript & Malware
In light of the latest Java scare, bloggers and business are scrambling to remove unnecessary JavaScript from their websites. But how do you get started locating JavaScript on your website?
A website called Sucuri has a quick and easy scanning tool that website owners can use for free to scan their site for malware, JavaScript and other malicious code. They also offer expanded scanning and removal services.
I did a scan on my site recently and here are the results:
As you can see, the free scanner checks for blacklistings, malware, malicious javascript, iframes and links, spam and more. If you’ve been working on removing malware from your site, this is a good way to see if you’ve gotten it all or what might still need to be removed.
When you click on the “Website Details” tab, you can view more information about what links, plugins, and lines of code specifically may be causing problems. See the detailed view below:

My brother recommended I might like this web site. He was totally right.
You cann't imagine just how much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
Thanks!
Actually Sucuri does not catch javascript exploits that well. I tested this and the result was nill.
I know it doesn’t catch everything, but it does at least give you a heads up on many.
It would have been nice if we could upload the js for scanning for vetting Google Chrome extensions. Nobody seems to have thought of this, you’d probably be the first to do it.
Not the job for me, but hopefully someone does come up with this.
