What are Pinterest Rich Pins?
Rich Pins aren’t just for food bloggers. Pinterest Rich Pins are great for any blogger or business owner who is interested in maintaining their branding and getting more clicks on their pins.
Pinterest describes Rich Pins as “Pins that include extra information right on the Pin itself. There are 6 types of Rich Pins: app, movie, recipe, article, product and place.”

To get started, visit this link: https://developers.pinterest.com/docs/rich-pins/validator/
STEP 1: Click the button at the bottom that says, “Validate your Rich Pins.”
STEP 2: Add your link to the “URL debugger”. This will need to be an internal link, and not your homepage. In most cases, you’ll want to choose a link to one of your blog posts.
STEP 3: After validating, you should see a confirmation that your application has been processed. You’ll also get an email letting know once your website has been approved (usually within minutes).
UPDATING PINS: If you’re debugging to update your rich pins metadata, simply hit the “Fetch New Scrape Information” once you’re done to propagate your new favicon or updated content to your pins.
And that’s it! You’re all set. Now, head over to Pinterest to see what your updated pins look like.
