Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve struggled to acknowledge milestones because my business grew in small steps, not overnight.
When things move in slow motion or don’t go as planned, sometimes it’s hard for us to register just how big of an impact we’ve made.
But whether we see our progress or not, it’s there.
Sometimes we just need to look at the bigger picture. Think about where you were in your business a year ago. 5 Years ago. 10 years ago.
How has your business grown since then? What has changed?
Maybe you didn’t hit your income goals, but did you spend more time with your family? Did you take on more of your ideal clients? Did you expand your business or upgrade equipment?
Oftentimes, we feel unaccomplished because we’re comparing ourselves to someone else’s journey.
But comparing that way doesn’t make sense, because their successes won’t look the same as ours. Their wins are different, their challenges are different, their goals are different. And that’s ok.
I recently hit a milestone in my business and it made me realize that, sometimes, making it through the rough patches is something I should celebrate just as much as my wins.
Because I’m still in business and still doing what I love, almost 10 years later. And that’s worth celebrating too. 💖
Best,
Chantilly
