One of the best things we can do for ourselves is to practice asking for help. It might sound strange, but too many times I’ve found myself slipping into the old habit of taking on everything myself.
Asking for help can oftentimes feel like a failure, especially when you’re not really sure if the support will be when you reach out.
“If I need help, that means I can’t handle this by myself.”
“What if I ask and get no response? What if I’m asking too much? What if people judge me?”
I know from experience, that asking for help is the only way you’ll grow. Whether that’s asking a colleague for advice, asking your spouse to pitch in more at home or asking the bank for a business loan.
You can’t be afraid to ask for help, especially if you know that not asking is holding you back.
When we do everything alone, it takes longer to reach our goals and drains us of valuable energy.
This business thing needs to be sustainable. You’re in this for the long haul, right?
So, why sabotage your progress by going it alone?
If you’re worried that you don’t have anyone in your corner, join a supportive community or build your own. Facebook groups are an amazing place to meet other business owners and entrepreneurs.
Here are three groups on Facebook that I have turned to for daily business inspiration and support.
I hope you’ll check them out if you’re not already a member.
And remember, never be afraid to ask or to take what you need. That’s how we grow. 💖
Best,
Chantilly
